Consultation and Secure Pre-Approval

Once an application for pre-approval has been received, a CRMCT mortgage consultant will contact you to arrange a suitable time to meet – in person or over the phone – to get a good understanding of your mortgage needs. We will check to make sure that we have enough information to get pre-approval and will submit this through the Mortgage Centre system to find a suitable lender.

At this time we will also ask you to think about how long you plan to keep the loan. If you plan to sell the house in a few years you may want to consider a short-term or variable loan. On the other hand, if you plan to keep the house for a longer time, you may want to look at fixed loans. We will work with you to determine the best product for your needs.

Once we have a pre-approval, it will be in place for 60, 90 or 120 days depending on the lender.
